Today was our first day visiting the village of Buluwe. What an amazing and eye opening experience. We drove through the village and almost every single person waved at us, greeting us with the biggest of smiles. Shouts of "Mzungu" filled the air!!! Mzungu is a word the people use, meaning "not black." This might sound discriminatory, but it's in fact, the exact opposite. They are so happy to be around something new, someone different. They were a little hesitant at first but quickly warmed up to us. Before we knew it, we were teaching them how to high-five, pound it, and thumb wrestle. The utter joy these people have is something Josh and I have never experienced. They're generally happy. No matter what struggles they may have in life, they're happy! They are envious of all that we have here in America, but it is us that should be envious of them. Instead of complaining about what we don't have, we should be happy and satisfied with what we do have. We are very blessed. Our new friend Charles (Chuck) said it best, "I could wake up with a penny in my pocket and still have everything I need." -Brock
